Super cool, right?

What’s also cool is that you can go through and select worksheets, games, or activities (like flipbook, flash cards, etc.) to fo later. Just save them in your File Cabinet! I love this feature! I’m always looking ahead to future lessons and I am always in need of adding in different activities! I save all the cool worksheets and activities I find, so I don’t have to remember everything or print out everything right then in order to not lose it. This feature alone, the ability to save stuff for later, excites me more than anything!

Any other organized homeschool mom planners out there?

Student Gradebook for Excel or Google Sheets

Super Teacher Worksheets has a downloadable MS Excel elementary grade book. I converted it to Google Sheets because I’m starting to use Google Drive to store everything homeschool-related, rather than my hard drive. Turns out, a homeschool mom can rack up quite the collection of homeschool resources! Plus, I’m using Google Classroom this year to plan my assignments, and since it works with the Drive I can keep everything all in one place.

Just like everything else, it’s easy to access. It’s named the Free Excel Elementary Gradebook. It has a list of commonly asked questions underneath it along with the answers for it. The gradebook converts number grades to letter grades and can even give you the class average.

For a homeschool perspective, I don’t you’ll need to know the average of one grade/one child, but you can make sure that you’re teaching for all of your kids are on point but getting an average of all of their grades! This is also a great way to make sure a certain curriculum is working for you too.

We live in Texas so my state does not require me to keep track of documents or grades. Because of this, I rarely kept track of their grades and we’re going into our 4th year homeschooling. We would usually just review and discuss, and I would just know if a topic needed to be retaught or barely touched on and skipped.

But this year I want to track all of their grades because I’m curious to see what their grades would be should they actually be documented. And I would like some sort of record and portfolio to see their progression from year to year. Super Teacher Worksheets provides a fabulous spreadsheet with exactly what I need to track the grades with formulas already included. It’s not complex at all, super simple to use, which is perfect for my needs. If it were difficult to use for grade tracking, I know myself too well – I would skip doing it altogether.

Customize the Super Worksheets Grade Book

You can put a lot of student names in the grade book. I took out the extra fields I didn’t need so it’s just Daniel and Zoey.

Luckily, I’ll be able to review grades with the kids individually on a weekly, monthly, semester, and annual reviews one-on-one. They’ll be able to see where they stand. This will be the perfect way to teach accountability.

If needed, I’ll reteach the concepts. I most likely won’t share failing grades with the kids until they get older and able to receive this information properly, without damaging their confidence and belief in themselves.

So I can’t wait to use this grade book. At least I’ll know visually which areas we need to work on and strengthen!

There’s a tab for Reading, Writing, Grammar, Spelling, Math, Science, and Social Studies! And the last tab is called Info, which auto-calculates the grades from all the other tabs to make an average. It shows the numerical value of the average grade as well as the letter grade, A-F.

Fraction Worksheets for Homeschool

Because my kiddos are entering the realm of fractions, I wanted to see what all Super Teacher Worksheets had on the topic. I think it’s safe to safe I’m covered in this area.

So there’s plenty of options there. I went ahead and clicked on Fractions (Basic) to see what pulls up. And THIS is where we see tonnnnns of activities!

And this isn’t even all the options! There are tons and tons have activities to get my mama creativity brain pumping. My kids appreciate new activities to do rather than the same, monotonous things day in and day out. We definitely get variety with Super Teacher Worksheets! We love that!

There is just so many Fractions options to choose from! For instance, I have all these subtopics to pick from:

  • Games
  • Cut and glue
  • Manipulative tools
  • Thinking problems
  • Worksheets
  • Coloring activities
  • Task cards
  • Word problems

My kids got gently introduced to fractions when they were learning about regrouping. Even so, we never really focused wholeheartedly on just fractions – until now.

Because even now they are gently learning multiplication, though it is going to be our primary focus this upcoming homeschool year along with fractions.

And because Super Teacher Worksheets compliments all curriculums as a supplement or add-on, these awesome fraction activities will be perfect with my math curriculum this year! I think it’ll work out even better than I anticipate because our math curriculum this year is an online program, and these worksheets provide hands-on activities! Best of both worlds!

So I chose this coloring activity as a gentle review of parts, and my kiddos loved it. (I could mark this as a 100% in that Super Teachers Grade Book I downloaded! ha!)
