Art Appreciation: A to Z Alphabet Bundle is an easy, no-prep way you can share beautiful artwork with your students and lay the foundation for deeper art studies. Level 1 is designed for ages 5-10 and includes 50 works of art by artists from around the world, including one or more by artists whose names begin with each letter of the alphabet. Each picture study includes the painting along with the name of the painting and artist in simple, traceable print copywork for sharpening handwriting skills. Each study also includes a page where the student can describe what they see in the picture, what they like about the picture, and what they don’t like about the picture.
Level 2 is designed for ages 11-18 and includes 50 works of art by the same artists as Level 1. Each picture study includes the painting along with a notebooking page. Students can do independent research and record the artist’s date and place of birth, date and place of death, and where he was from or lived. They can then record the style of the featured painting and the time period it was created in as well as what they notice about the painting and how it makes them feel. A second work of art (which is found in the Level 1 unit) is referenced so they can compare and contrast the featured artwork and the second piece of art. Each level is 104 pages. ($7.98 value)
